Avenues for Justice bases its headquarters inside the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse so that our staff can quickly respond to any youth entering for a court date, assess the needs, and then appear alongside them before the judge to have a young person mandated to our services instead of being incarcerated. AFJ then continues to advocate in court until a successful outcome is reached of Youthful Offender (YO) status with sealed records, dismissal, probation or reduction of charges.
