To kick off Mental Health Awareness month, we wanted to share some recent advances at AFJ regarding our onsite Mental Health services.
Avenues for Justice Launches New Internship Program with Local Small Businesses to Provide a Path Forward to Success for Our Participants
Spearheaded by Court Advocate, Shantel Brooks, the initiative, which consists of two8-week cohorts, will provide a path forward to income stability with part-time internships for our Participants and AFJ covering the stipends.
Avenues for Justice’s Initiatives for Mental Health Care
Due to the lack of immediate access to services, in addition to the backlog around mental health care, AFJ has initiated staff trainings, group therapy sessions, and therapeutic bi-lingual parenting workshops to address the growing mental health needs of our Participants.
